MONDAY MOTIVATION: THE KEYS TO VICTORY PART 1

Mar 11, 2019

We are currently in the March Madness series, and we have heard two amazing testimonies of hope, one from Gabe Williams and then yesterday, we heard Owen Gray's testimony. If you missed them, you can watch the latest sermons HERE.

Hope = In Greek is “Elpis”. The expectation of good.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”(NIV)

REJOICE – Rejoice when? Always!

Rejoice even when we don’t feel like it! The power of worship is worshiping Him in Spirit and Truth. Feelings can go up and down but God’s Truth is for sure and forever.

16 “Rejoice always”

Rejoice – “chairo” in Greek. (pronounced Kah-ee-ro) experiencing God’s grace and being glad in God’s grace.” Also “Leaning towards”

Your Experience should impact your Expression.

If you have experienced God’s grace you will express it out loudIf you have experienced salvation it should come out in your expression. If you have been set free it should come out in how you express your love and passion for God

PRAY – Pray for how long? Continually!

Pray even when you don’t see results.

P.U.S.H. Pray Until Something Happens

GIVE THANKS – Give thanks during what? All circumstances!

Give God thanks in the good and the bad. Thank Him for what He’s done. Thank Him for what He’s doing. Thank Him for what He’s going to do. There is power in giving God thanks!

We can’t wait until everything is going our way to give God thanks! Give Him thanks right now before the challenge, right in the middle of the pain, before the breakthrough.

Rejoice, Pray, Give Thanks!

Paul and Silas in Acts 16 were beaten, flogged, thrown in prison for casting a demon out of a slave girl. Her owners were making money off of her because she was telling people’s fortune.

But she followed them around mocking them

17“These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.”

And Paul turns around and casts the devil out of her!

18“I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.”

They put Paul and Silas in the same cell and chained them up.

Paul and Silas knew there was hope. Yes they were beaten, yes they were flogged, yes they were thrown behind prison bars, yes they were in chains…. BUT they were together and they were praising God…

And they knew what Jesus said where two or three are together in my name…
