A SIMPLE ACT OF KINDNESS

May 15, 2018

When we started C3 Church 20 years ago our vision was to provide Real Hope for Real People in a Real World.  A lot of things have changed from the early days of C3 Church (I used to have hair for one thing, LOL) but one thing that hasn’t changed is our vision. This entire month of May we are focusing on living out this vision in a strategic way. We are gathering on Sundays for the teaching of God’s Word on hope, gathering supplies for those in need and then during the week we are serving our community. It’s been a blast! The first week we honored and served all first responders. My men’s connect group decided to provide lunch for the Johnston County Sheriff’s Dept. I had the privilege of going to each office and shaking the hands of each one there and thanking them for serving our community and keeping us safe.

Here are a some of the ways we have already served our community.

The first Sunday we collected the following items for First Responders in the Cleveland Community:

- 420 packs of gum

- 558 bottles of Gatorade

- 25 containers of coffee

- 659 protein bars

This past Sunday, we collected the following items for the iChoose pregnancy center:

- 281 toilet paper rolls

- 177 rolls of paper towles

- 62 boxes of facial tissue

- 56 Clorox wipes

I can’t wait to see what God does the next few weeks and beyond as we provide real hope for real people in a real world!

Proverbs 3:27-28, “Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them. 28 If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say, “Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.”(NLT)

Will you serve someone today? You never know how God can used a simple act of kindness!
